Common molecule naturally occurring in the skin and body. It’s known as an osmolyte, an ingredient that helps skin adapt to moisture losses and gains, essentially working to balance skin’s hydration. It’s highly compatible with skin and offers amazing benefits: intense moisturisiation, soothing, and skin complexion-improving properties. Upcycled ingredient obtained from the process of making sugar out of sugar beets.

A complex combination of olive oil derived fatty acids, chemically similar to the skin surface lipid composition. Has a unique ability to create cosmetic formulations that mimic the skin lamellar bilayer lipids. Helps maintain the integrity of the skin barrier with a “physiologically” natural skin feel upon application. Upcycled ingredient derived from olive oil refining process.
Skin Identical/Moisturising/Repairing/Sensorial
Naturally occurring in the skin, forms as a result of microbiome activity (skin lipids degradation to fatty acids and glycerin). Glycerin is highly hygroscopic, binds water and allows skin to retain moisture. Makes skin feel smooth & soft.
Skin Identical/Moisturising/Prebiotic
An ester of glycerin and caprylic acid, originating from vegetable oil. A multifunctional ingredient that improves emulsion stability and provides moisturising and re-fatting properties.
Moisturising/Stabilising/Re-fatting
Made from upcycled hemp seeds leftover from the food industry. Very rich, natural source of essential nutrients, known to deliver multiple benefits to the skin. Loaded with essential fatty acids, flavonoids, terpenoids and phenolics which help to play a role in the nourishing and strengthening of the skin barrier. It is particularly rich in linoleic acid. Ideal for sensitive and reactive skin.
Nourishing/Soothing/Moisturising
Lightweight, non-comedogenic and fast absorbing oil, reach in monosaturated omega-9 fatty acids and vitamin E. Excellent nourisher and moisturiser. It’s a liquid wax ester that has a similar composition to human skin sebum, naturally produced by our skin.
Skin Identical/Moisturising/Softening/Nourishing
Component of the natural moisturising factor (NMF) produced in the skin by your own microbiome. Makes up around 12% of the total natural skin’s NMF. Gentle alpha hydroxy acid with moisturising and pH balancing qualities, that support microbiome friendly environment. Lactic acid helps to remove old, dull cells from the skin’s surface and stimulates skin renewal for a brighter complexion, less visible fine lines & wrinkles.
Skin Identical NMF/Moisturising/Renewing/Postbiotic
Gentle to the skin, natural ingredient made from corn sugar through fermentation. Works in a similar way to Glycerin as they belong to the same group of ingredients called glycols. Provides long lasting moisturization and improves sensorial aspect of creams. Makes skin feel very soft and smooth.
Moisturising/Softening/Sensorial
Coconut oil and wheat protein-based mild surfactant, a perfect combination when it comes to skin cleansing. Coconut oil is full of fatty acids and acts as a barrier repairing agent, whereas wheat proteins are highly compatible with our own skin proteins, providing moisture. When cleansing, thanks to its skin friendly structure, Cocoyl Wheat Amino Acids effectively protect the natural film of the skin, avoiding the undesired effects of traditional, low-cost cleansing agents.
Biomimetic/Gentle Cleansing/Moisturising/Protecting
Component of the natural moisturising factor (NMF) produced in the skin. Makes up around 12% of the total natural skin’s NMF. Sodium PCA (pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, a natural amino acid derivative) hydrates by attracting water to and trapping it in the skin, helping to restore the protective skin barrier. It can hold up to 250 times its weight in water, almost twice as much as glycerin. It also has anti-inflammatory properties.
Skin Identical NMF/Moisturising/Soothing/Prebiotic
Lipid produced naturally by your own skin cells and is one of the predominant components (about 13%) of sebum. Squalene is considered a prebiotic, serving as a food source for the commensal skin microflora, supporting the right balance, and increasing diversity. It also appears to be critical for reducing free radical oxidative damage to the skin. Made from upcycled olive oil unsaponifiable fraction leftover from the food industry.
Skin Identical Lipid/Repairing/Prebiotic
Naturally occurring in the skin ingredient with free radical scavenging properties. Oil-soluble vitamin that acts as antioxidant and helps protect cells from damage. It accumulates in the sebaceous glands before it is delivered to the skin surface through sebum. In addition, vitamin E can also absorb the energy from ultraviolet (UV) light; thus, it plays an important role in photoprotection, preventing free radical damage to the skin.
Skin Identical Vitamin/Moisturising/Protecting/Prebiotic
Component of the natural moisturizing factor (NMF) produced in the skin. Makes up around 7% of the total natural skin’s NMF. It is able to absorb moisture from the environment and draw it to the skin. In addition, urea also helps to remove accumulated dead skin cells and, as a result, promotes new skin cells growth for softer and smoother skin surface
