Many cosmetic ingredients negatively impact the skin barrier & microbiome. That is why we have removed the disruptors (synthetic dyes and fragrances, harsh surfactants and soaps, PEGs, alcohol, aggressive acids) from your skincare. But the most obvious group representing highly unfriendly ingredients are preservatives. They are known to cause skin allergies and inflammation. Moreover, they show a negative impact on the overall skin microbiome balance. We apply skin identical ingredients to recover physiological skin hydration and replenish protective lipid barrier. They mimic the composition of naturally occurring elements found within your skin and are able to balance its functions. That includes your own NMF (Natural Moisturising Factor) and lipid barrier components. They present affinity to the skin and strong biocompatibility, for an optimal tolerance and safety. We have pushed our products even further and developed textures that not only contain skin identical ingredients but also mimic your own skin barrier structure. The shiny droplets in the picture of our Skinmimetic Moisturiser feature a multi-layer lipids, very similar to your own skin. They contain trapped water layers, providing long-lasting moisturisation. Physiological skin pH is around 5, and that is an optimal environment for your skin and good bacteria to thrive. Slightly acidic pH is achieved thanks to the presence of lactic acid, naturally produced by your own skin bacteria. This is why our formulations are balanced to a physiological skin pH level with lactic acid itself.
